To achieve this, CONNECTAS is based on a trio of nodes: contactas, dattos, and reportas.
In this node CONNECTAS seeks resources to support independent journalism and to improve its quality through a tool that enables donors to make direct contributions to initiatives in the region.
In this node CONNECTAS disseminates knowledge about transnational issues by promoting the use of Access to Public Information laws and sharing data, its analysis, mapping and visualization.
In this node CONNECTAS produces journalism reports, with analysis and aggregates value content. It also facilitates training in reporting techniques and issues relevant to development in the Americas.
