For many journalists, Panama is the final destination. Thanks to its legislation and traditions, this country knows how to keep secrets. Although there are some limitations, it is possible to explore. The Investigative Reporting Initiative in the Americas, an ICFJ led project in alliance with CONNECTAS, developed three useful tool kits for journalist searching records, commercial data and documents linked to companies and people established in Panama.

1) Access to Panama’s Public Register: this link will help you finding professional’s public registrations, property owners’ names, residential titles and company registers.
